A Level Results Day 2016

A level results day was a celebration of success for students at Woking College.
With an A Level pass rate of 99% and a Vocational pass rate of 100%, students had a lot to smile about.
Over 50% of students achieved high A*- B grades and the vast majority of students got in to their first choice at university.
Amongst a huge number of excellent results were Henry Calver who achieved 5* Stars and is going on to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, Stephen Brown with 4 A* Stars also going on to study at Cambridge University, Rebecca Lynn with 3 A*Stars and 2 A’s who will study Art and History of Art, Emily Sumpter with 1A*and 3 A’s going on to study Modern languages and Luke Wheeler with 2 A*and 2 A’s who will study Theoretical Physics at Birmingham University.
Acting Principal at Woking College, Nuweed Razaq, said "We are all tremendously proud of these excellent results achieved by our students. Their determination and hard work have been rewarded and we are delighted to see so many successfully gaining their first choice university places".
A multitude of Woking College students have been recognised for their outstanding achievements in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Woking College Theatre Company have for the 3rd year running “stolen” all the awards at two prestigious drama festivals.
To end the Easter Term at Woking College. Business Studies students hosted the “Mini Oscars of the Business Department”.
Ex Woking College Art Student Katie Denham has joined the elite of the Art World as a Royal Society of British Arts Scholar who has been awarded the John Ingram Memorial Prize for Young Artists at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London.
On March 14th, Woking College Health & Social Care students ran an extremely well attended Health Fair to highlight issues which affect young people today.
