Computer Whizz Kids in Elite Brains of UK

Over 40 Woking College Computer Science students took part in an international computing competition which attracts entrants from 30 countries. The competition known as the “Elite Bebras” aims to develop skills in problem solving and computational thinking skills.

Three College students Matthew Unwin, Luke Bolton and Daniel Aston (pictured) scored amongst the highest grades nationwide putting them in the top elite of UK competitors.

The Challenge is highly regarded by universities and employers. Student Daniel Aston commented “I was interested in completing the challenge because it looked fun and I gained a recognised qualification which will be useful in my future career. It was challenging but I enjoyed it. I am looking to study Computer Science at university and this competition will be really helpful in achieving my ambitions!”
