A record number of 57 Maths students were awarded prestigious awards at the Senior Maths Challenge representing the College at the highest level.
This mathematical problem-solving challenge is organised by the U.K. Mathematics Trust. Students at the College received 3 Gold putting them in the top 10% of all entries nationwide and 19 Silver (top 30%) with other students receiving Distinctions.
The three Gold Awards went to Billy Dryburgh who also received best in College and David Diaconu and Charlie Ferris.
Special mention must be given to Bethany Williamson who took part in the British Olympiad for Girls. Over 1,400 of the nation’s top female mathematicians took part and Bethany gained a Distinction placing her in the top 25% of all participants.
