Introduction from the Chair of the Board - Tim Stokes

Woking College is a well-managed College that takes all its responsibilities seriously. One of the elements which have helped it to become one of the top-performing Sixth Form Colleges in the country is its Board of Trustees and the relationship the Trustees have with the Principal, the Senior Leadership team and the wider College, including student representatives.

Trustees, including two parent Trustees, are voluntary roles and are selected from the community to ensure the Board has the right mix of skills to support the College in its future development. Trustees play an important role in working closely with College leadership, they set the strategic vision and direction, approve and monitor the budget and hold the senior leadership team to account.

Trustees make a real difference to the College and the wider College community. Membership of the Trustee Board is regularly reviewed and refreshed as required and applications to join the Board are always welcomed and should be made to the Clerk to the Board – email address: bma@woking.ac.uk
