Work Experience
Dedicated week 26th to 30th April 2027
Submission deadline 26th February 2027
Work experience helps students develop essential employability skills, build confidence, and gain valuable insight into the workplace.

All first-year students are required to complete a one-week in-person work experience placement. This is a compulsory element of the college programme and is necessary to support successful progression into the second year.
Work experience is increasingly valued by both employers and universities. It provides an excellent opportunity to explore a particular sector or job role before making important decisions about future study, training, or career pathways.

Arranging a Placement
Students are responsible for securing their own placement and must submit the placement form on Unifrog CLICK HERE by the submission deadline above.
To help students find suitable opportunities, we maintain a Work Experience Noticeboard containing placement ideas, employer contacts, and useful resources. While this is not an exhaustive list, it is a good starting point when searching for opportunities.
This can be accessed via the student intranet.
Students are also encouraged to speak to friends, family members, and personal contacts, as these can often be valuable sources of work experience opportunities.
