Work experience helps students build key employability skills, confidence, and an understanding of the workplace.
MAIN CONTENT Level 3 Vocational Courses
Students on Level 3 vocational programmes must complete a one‑week work experience placement in their first year. This is compulsory for progression to year two and applies to all BTEC and CTEC courses (excluding Criminology).
A Levels & Criminology
Work experience is not mandatory, but students are strongly encouraged to arrange a placement during the dedicated week or in college holidays.
Arranging a Placement
Students are responsible for securing their own placement and must submit the placement form on Unifrog CLICK HERE. Work experience is increasingly expected by employers and universities.
