Geography beyond the classroom!

One of the most exciting parts of A Level Geography is getting out into the real world — exploring places first-hand and building the skills that make the course so engaging and career-relevant. 🧭✨

Our A Level Geography students recently had the fantastic opportunity to learn from Professor Alistair Owens (Queen Mary University of London), an expert in Historical Geography, to support them with their upcoming coursework. 🎓👏

Following an insightful lecture on place change in London’s East End, students headed to Brick Lane to investigate how gentrification has reshaped the area over time — exploring its journey from a vibrant, ethnically diverse community to one increasingly influenced by redevelopment and rising costs. 🏙️📊

A brilliant day of learning, research and real-world Geography in action! 🙌📚
