What skills will I develop?
- You will develop your understanding of the various job roles within the health & social care sector.
- You will develop your communication & other practical skills, enhancing them on a work experience placement.
- You will learn more about the nutrition and procedures within health & social care.
What topics will I study?
OCR Level 2 Technical Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care
- Unit 1: Principles of Working in Health, Social Care and Childcare (MCQ examination)

- Unit 2: Health and Safety in Practice (Examination)
- Unit 3: Working in a Person-Centred Way (Coursework)
- Unit 4: Safeguarding (Coursework)
Where does the course lead?
Passing this course will enable you to look into progression into a Health and Social Care related career. If you have a 4 in GCSE Science, you will be eligible to move onto our Level 3 programme at the end of the year.
