Digital Media BTEC Lvl 2 Cert (1 GCSE)

(BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Creative Media Skills – Equivalent to 1 GCSE)

This qualification is coursework based allowing students to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of the media industry. The students will have the opportunity to use a range of media equipment and software. The course is designed to prepare students to progress onto level 3 study or enter the workplace in an entry-level position.

What skills will I develop?

• You will develop your communication skills, both oral and written.
• You will gain the ability to analyse media products and how meaning is created within them.
• You will gain technical skills using a range of print and/or moving image media hardware and software.

Where does the course lead?

Completing this qualification with a Merit or higher will allow students to progress onto either an A Level course or a level 3 vocational course in Media.
