Art & Design (L2)

Build your skills in drawing and painting, graphic design, 3D and textiles to develop a portfolio of work to help you progress to Level 3 courses.

What skills will I develop?

You will be introduced to a wide range of techniques and processes, which encourage you to explore ideas and approaches in working.  

Alongside practical skills, you will develop your ability to work independently, research and analyse artworks, present work in a professional way and talk about it in group presentations.

You will be required to work in a sketchbook/folder and produce final outcomes to each project.

  • Unit 1: Exploring Artists and Designers
  • Unit 50: Exploring Fashion and Textiles
  • Unit 10: 2D materials and techniques
  • Unit 11: 3D materials and techniques

Where does the course lead?

After completion of this course you may wish to continue your studies at Advanced Level with an Applied Art and Design course that encompasses a whole range of art and design based disciplines such as illustration, fine art, fashion and graphics.
