Current Parents
During the time your young person in your care is at Woking College, we support and encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning whilst ensuring parents and guardians are “in the loop” via our academic tutoring days and half termly reports. A student’s progress is monitored within subject areas and by their personal tutor. If you wish to contact a member of staff, please see the lists under ‘Personal Tutors’ or contact the ‘Head of Department’.
We are frequently asked if students are guaranteed a place for their second year of A level study. The answer is that in order to progress to the A2 part of their course, students must have successfully passed their first year course. Students on BTEC courses must have passed all of required units during the first year. Any student who does not meet this recommendation should contact the College following results day to make an appointment to see their Tutor. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss the options available and to try to find a way forward that is best for the student.
