If you want to join any of these courses, you must attend an assessment/enrolment session. You will meet one of our ESOL teachers, who will assess your spoken and written English, discuss your learning goals and tell you when the appropriate class takes place. You must bring your passport, fees, UKVI share code and a paper copy of your Universal Credit statement.

GCSE
English and Maths
These courses are for adults wanting to take GCSE English or Maths for the first time or for those who have not achieved a grade 4. These nationally recognised qualifications are required for many careers and higher education courses.
Please email admissions@woking.ac.uk stating which courses you are interested in. You must also come to an Information/Assessment session, (see dates below) where you will meet the teacher and take an assessment test to make sure that this is the right course for you. Students attend one lesson per week for 15 weeks.
INFORMATION ADVICE AND GUIDANCE SESSIONS ARE HELD AT WOKING COLLEGE
GCSE English Information and Guidance Session
Wednesday 3rd September 2025 5:00pm – 6:15pm
The assessment test will take about an hour. Please bring your passport to the Information, Advice and Guidance Evening. You will be informed within a few days of your assessment test whether you have been accepted on the course. There are limited numbers so students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis from the date of application as long as they fulfil the course criteria.

Wednesday 3rd September 2025 6:30pm – 7:45pm
