A huge thank you to James Allen from Portsmouth University who visited us today to deliver a fascinating workshop on Modelling a pandemic to our STEM and Sports excellence cohort. We looked at SIR models, students had their own opportunity to build a mathematical computing model, look at the equations behind the COVID headlines and apply the models to many other practical applications and research areas!
