Woking College Woscars 2019
The annual Woscars event at Woking College took place on Thursday 23rd May celebrating the successes of the CTEC, BTEC and A Level Media and Film Students. The event was run and presented by students who had been studying for the past two years to honour those who have made real progress during their qualifications.
Hosted by the student pairing of Tyrese Shipp and Rob May, the Woscars awarded the hardest working students in a range of ten categories including ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Director’. Simon Thomsett, manager of the Ambassadors cinema in Woking was the special guest and was very complimentary of the talent on show. Following the tradition of award ceremonies, the audience were treated to a diverse range of clips of the work of the winners of each category. Head of Media & Film, Terry Wilks commended the students and staff for their hard work and innovation and the building of media links with local NHS hospitals and businesses.
